Professional Plan Consultant® (PPC®)

New York, NY (01/01/2023) Miguel Gonzalez of Cortburg Retirement Advisors, a Manhattan-based Retirement Planning Firm, has been awarded the Professional Plan Consultant® (PPC®) Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies®, the standards-setting body for Fi360, a Broadridge company. The PPC® Designation signifies specialized training on managing compliant and successful 401(k) plans for plan sponsor clients. The designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor, and agreement to abide by the Center’s Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards.  On an ongoing basis, completion of continuing education and adherence to the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards are required to maintain the PPC® Designation.

Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA®)

Plan advisors who earn their CPFA demonstrate the specialized knowledge required to act as a plan fiduciary or to help plan fiduciaries manage their roles and responsibilities. The Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) credential – developed by some of the nation’s leading advisors and retirement plan experts – demonstrates knowledge, expertise, and commitment to working with retirement plans.

<strong>Certified Retirement Counselor<sup>&#174;</sup> (CRC<sup>&#174;</sup>)</strong>

Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®)

New York, NY (08/30/2013) More than 5000 retirement professionals have earned the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certification conferred by the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE). Miguel Gonzalez of Cortburg Retirement Advisors, a Manhattan-based Retirement Planning Firm, is the most recent recipient of this certification.

Earning the CRC® typically requires 75 to 100 hours of preparation before sitting for a four-hour exam. In addition, certificants must meet specific education and experience requirements. Each certificant must also adhere to the CRC® Code of Ethics and commit to 15 hours of annual continuing education.

The CRC® program uniquely enhances a professional’s understanding of retirement planning concepts and principles, while demonstrating their commitment to the retirement planning profession. The CRC® certification is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Independent third-party “program” accreditation signifies that CRC® certificants are an elite group of qualified retirement professionals among the array of retirement-related designations available today.
